LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF LAPAROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY
Abstract
The incidence of gallstone disease in the world is constantly increasing. The number of cholecystectomies performed in the world is also increasing. The problem of long term effects of cholecystectomy remains debatable, as the definition of the term “postcholecystectomy syndrome”. The article presents data on the analysis of case histories of patients are underwent cholecystectomy and were re hospitalized. The structure of hospitalizations and the main reasons for re hospitalizations for the studied period are described. Some aspects of functional disorders of postcholecystectomy syndrome are described too.
