Abstract

Obesity is a major public health problem. Its diagnosis and treatment raises many questions and needs improvement. Currently, many works are devoted to the study of the effect of bile acids on metabolism in obesity. But the mechanism of their action is not fully understood, further study is required. In this review, we focus on the pathogenesis and classification of obesity, discuss bile acid signaling and interactions with the intestinal microbiota.
