Abstract
Numerous studies in recent years have shown that the metabolic syndrome is associated with the development of cardiovascular, endocrine and oncological diseases. This article discusses the pathogenetic relationships of metabolic syndrome with bronchopulmonary pathology: bronchoobstructive diseases, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, pulmonary hypertension. Therapeutic approaches to the management of this category of patients are also considered.
