Abstract

One of the principles of modern medicine is the relief of pain syndrome, since, regardless of the cause of pain, pain has a detrimental effect on the patient’s condition. Currently, the most accessible and popular class of drugs used as analgesics are non -steroidal anti -inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which are effective and affordable, including in a financial aspect. In addition to analgesic, anti -inflammatory and antipyretic efficacy, NSAIDs also protect the body from critical diseases, such as malignant lesions and complications of certain cardiovascular diseases, but data from numerous placebo -controlled studies and meta -analyzes indicate alarmingly the adverse effect of NSAIDs on the frequency gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, hepatic, renal, cerebral and pulmonary complications.
