Abstract

The multifunctional aging process includes various mechanisms of possible disorders that affect many vital structures of the body. During aging, a wide range of chemical damage occurs at the molecular, subcellular, and tissue levels. This article discusses the features of the formation of metabolic disorders in elderly and senile people, some aspects of the damaging and protective mechanisms associated with the aging process.
