The concept of asthenia in the clinic of internal diseases
Abstract
. Asthenia is one of the most common nonspecific forms of the central nervous system’s response to a wide variety of external and internal difficulties. According to the level of medical care, more than 60% of patient complaints are related to asthenic syndrome. These disorders are observed in all categories of the population. This lecture for doctors is devoted to asthenia, it examines various interpretations of the term asthenia, the frequency of occurrence of asthenic disorders in the clinic of internal diseases, the history of the formation of ideas about asthenic syndrome, features of the psychosomatic status of patients with asthenic disorders, as well as etiopathogenesis and approaches to the classification of asthenic disorders.
