Abstract

Obesity is one of the most common diseases in the economically developed countries. According to population studies, every third inhabitant of North America, every fifth inhabitant of Europe is overweight. In Russia, every fifth man and every third woman are overweight. The social significance of this pathology is determined by a wide range of diseases associated with overweight, bearing a high risk of early disability and premature death.
