Medical blind peer-reviewed scientific and practical journal. The journal routinely screens article submissions for plagiarism.

Medicine, in addition to clinical, as well as medical, social and hygienic specialties, includes a huge block of biomedical disciplines, some of which partially go beyond the concept of "pure medicine" and are part of the relevant biological sciences. The biomedical complex includes morphological disciplines (anatomy, histology, cytology) that study the body structure of a healthy person at different levels; functional — normal physiology, responsible for the functions of a healthy body, biochemistry, biophysics, immunology; the experimental discipline of pathophysiology, which models and studies the patterns of occurrence, development and course of disease processes; pathological anatomy, which examines the morphology of a diseased organism; pharmacology and toxicology, which study the effects of drugs and poisons on the body. The same group includes microbiology, bacteriology, virology, parasitology, and helminthology, which study a variety of micro- and macropathogenic human parasites; medical genetics, which examines the phenomena of heredity and variability in their connection with human pathology, and so on. The journal Russian Biomedical Research publishes review, original, methodological, historical and other articles on all these disciplines in Russian and English.
The journal is intended for doctors and researchers, as well as undergraduates and postgraduates interested in biomedical issues.
