LOGO-FASCIAL MASSAGE IN THE SYSTEM OF COMPLEX CORRECTION OF SPEECH, FUNCTIONAL AND MUSCULAR-FASCIAL DISORDERS IN PERSONS WITH SPEECH PATHOLOGY

Abstract

The article is a review of an up to date and effective way to correct speech disorders in children and adults, including the logo fascial massage. The method of a correction is focused on the group of patients suffering from speech disorders. It is represented by persons with residual manifestations of an organic damage to the central or peripheral nervous system, both by persons with postural manifestations of birth trauma and with acquired speech and motor disorders due to a stroke, neuro infection, and head injuries. The article represents a holistic impact approach on the human fascial system in combination with a speech therapy approach, which in a systematic and complex combination demonstrate effective positive dynamics to correct speech disorders in children and adults who have not previously received the expected and claimed results from other methods and classical approaches of speech therapy massage. The distinctive features of the logo fascial massage from the classical approaches of speech therapy massage are described by the following criteria, such as the intensity of the effect, the pace, the duration, the massage frequency, as well as types of contact interaction, a technique of comparing, combining and systematizing massage and contact manipulations. The article details a method of speech correction, which contains five stages: the first of which includes massage of the thoracic, cervical, facial regions; the second stage includes external and intraoral massage of the articulation apparatus; the third stage includes massage of the articulation apparatus with the sounds setting; the fourth stage includes breathing, voice and articulation gymnastics with massage and automation of sounds pronunciation; the fifth stage includes the automation of sounds in syllables, words and phrases. The article provides a method to correct speech disorders, and being complex it allows the only specialist to work with speech impairment until it is completely corrected without a temporary break, with significant time savings and additional efforts of both other profile specialists and parents, and also helps to improve the psychological condition of a child and his emotional and volitional sphere.
