Possibilities of diet therapy in correcting the nutritional status of children with chronic kidney disease (literature review)
Abstract
Changing of the patient’s lifestyle with chronic kidney disease (CKD) - the key point in the rehabilitation of these patients. With the progression of CKD, gastroenterological problems increase, and the patient’s nutritional status worsens. Especially noticeable is the stagnation in childhood. The article presents the options for correcting protein energy deficiency for a patient at the predialysis stage of CKD and during dialysis. The review of lifestyle changes is considered in details. Recommendations for the use of protein, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, vitamins and energy value of the diet with a choice of products and dishes are given. The tables presented in the article are of practical interest. The starting positions of the elimination diet for outpatient and inpatient patients are reflected.
