Abstract

The aim of the article was to study the prevalence of food allergy in the first year of life in primary school children with functional abdominal pain disorders. 110 children of primary school age (7-11 years) with functional abdominal pain disorders (irritable bowel syndrome, functional dyspepsia, abdominal migraine, functional abdominal pain - not otherwise specified) were examined. The presence of clinical manifestations associated with food allergy in the first year of life was found in the majority of the examined patients - 76 (69.1±4.4%) children. The information indicating the presence of allergy to cow's milk proteins in anamnesis was determined in all patients with food allergy.
