TEACHING MODULE “SEMIOTICS OF RESPIRATORY DISORDERS IN CHILDREN” DURING THE CORONAVIRUS EPIDEMIC
Abstract
The article presents the structured diagnostic respiratory assessment in children (purposeful questioning concerning the complaints, anamnesis - history of the condition, and history of the life of the patient, physical examination (inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation), the main respiratory symptoms: various types of cough, shortness of breath, percussion and auscultatory phenomena in lungs and features of the results obtained in pediatric patients recovered from COVID-19, using published materials. The importance of identifying the main symptoms of a new coronavirus infection in children of different ages (from infancy to adolescence) is discussed in an objective, laboratory, instrumental study, first of all, the need for early diagnosis of the disease, that occurs in most children with mild symptoms, which become an important source of infection of the middle aged people, for whom coronavirus infection poses a threat not only to health, but also to life. It is noted that in schoolchildren and adolescents, the clinical manifestations of coronavirus infection have their own features, which are discussed in the presented article.
