DIFFERENTIAL-DIAGNOSTIC ASPECTS OF MRI OF DIAGNOSTICS OF INFLAMMATORY DISEASES OF THE CNS IN CHILDREN
Abstract
The value of MRI of the study of the brain and / or spinal cord is widely recognized in the diagnosis of various inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system in children. However, its significance in the differential diagnosis of encephalitis, disseminated encephalomyelitis and multiple sclerosis, whose growth has been noted in recent years, has not been clarified. The similarity of clinical manifestations in the debut of the disease, the lack of unified criteria for differential diagnosis, the frequency of chronization and the possibility of transformation into multiple sclerosis (MS) determine the urgency of improving approaches to their differential diagnosis.
