DIAGNOSTICS OF PARASITARY DISEASES IN ALLERGIC DISPLAYS IN THE CHILDHOOD AGE

Abstract

It is common to combine infectious diseases with allergopathology, which is not a simple addition of two pathologies, but a more complex process of interaction and mutual influence. The aim of the study was to establish a correlation between the diagnosis of clinical and anamnestic data of allergic diseases in children with parasitic infestation. Materials and methods: the study was conducted in 2017–2018 on the basis of pre-school educational institutions N22 (n–100) and educational school N90 (n–150) in Izhevsk with an anonymous questionnaire of parents, an analysis of medical documentation, parasitological examination. Results: 2 groups were singled out: the patients with allergic diseases — AD (main group, n=171) and children of I and II health groups, without AZ (control group, n=79). The main group comprised 49 patients with bronchial asthma (28.2%), 56 (32.8%) with allergic rhinitis, 46 (26.7%) with atopic dermatitis and 20 (12.2%) with acute allergic hives. According to the results of microscopy of stool in AD, parasitic invasion was detected in 42.7% of cases, among patients in the control group — only in 11.7% of cases (p<0.05). In the structure of parasitic infestations in children with AD: giardiasis — 65.2%, ascaridosis — 19.6% and other parasites — 10.9%. The proportion of giardiasis among preschool children was 92.6%, in schoolchildren — 56.7%. Conclusion: taking into account the high frequency of detection of parasitic invasion in children with allergic diseases, it is advisable to include a parasitological examination in the plan of treatment and diagnostic measures in these patients using laboratory and immunological methods of diagnosis, also to include in the treatment and prophylactic measures in children with allergic diseases deworming in order to prevent the negative influence of parasitosis on the course of the main pathological process.
