Abstract

As a result of the analysis of 100 literature sources, a review of the current state of knowledge about mineral metabolism and its disorders in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in children. This article presents the structuring of mineral metabolism in the child’s body, risk factors for mineral metabolism disorders, as well as the recovery of the balance of resorption and bone formation in the process of osteogenesis in children. Despite the sufficient number of studies about causal relations between the processes of mineral absorption and osteogenesis, it is necessary to develop an algorithm for examination and complex treatment of children of different age and sex with comorbid conditions, patients with inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, taking into account the impact on both phases of mineral metabolism.
