CLINICAL CASE OF SEVERE BRONCHIAL ASTHMA AT A TEENAGER
Abstract
Asthma remains one of the most common chronic bronchopulmonary diseases at present. Asthma in adolescents is particularly difficult to diagnose and treat due to the psychological characteristics of adolescence. A lot of work is needed by the attending physician in cooperation with parents to form an adequate attitude of the adolescent to the disease in order to exclude the influence of subjective factors on the decrease in the effectiveness of asthma therapy. The article presents a clinical case of observation of a teenager with bronchial asthma with an incomplete understanding of the severity of the disease by the patient, non - compliance with doctor’s prescriptions, non - compliance with the necessary rules, which led to the ineffectiveness of the prescribed therapy, multiple revisions of the treatment plan, and an increase in the volume of therapy.
