Abstract
The aim of the study was to study the effect of zinc deficiency on the development of allergic diseases in adolescence born to mothers with established levels of zinc during pregnancy and a newborn baby. We observed 104 children of adolescence. The study found that children who were zinc deficiency, significantly more often, compared to their peers with a normal level of zinc, allergic diseases are found, with atopic dermatitis being detected in the first place. Therefore, in children with atopic dermatitis and other allergic diseases that are difficult to treat, it is advisable to include zinc preparations in the treatment regimen.
