Abstract

. Retrospective study of 243 patients undergoing elective lobectomies about anatomically lung disease. Postoperative delirium was detected in 34 (14%) patients. It was established that predisposing factors of postoperative delirium development in elderly thoracic patients are: age, disorders of cerebral circulation in history, alcoholism, initiating factors - duration of one-lung ventilation, episodes of perioperative hypotension and hypoxemia; use of opioids, intensity of pain syndrome. The use of individual prediction revealed that the value of the prognostic coefficient above 8.0 is a significant predictor of postoperative delirium.
