Physician, Family and Patient: Some Relationship Problems in Clinical Pediatric Dermatology
Abstract
To analyze ethical problems in pediatric dermatology, specially designed questionnaires were distributed among all participants of diagnostic and treatment process: physicians, children aged 13 to 17 years with chronic dermatosis, and their parents. The results of the survey show the importance of individual work with children and their parents at all stages of therapy. Considering specific psychosomatic character of most chronic dermatoses, compliance with principles of professional ethics is essential for building trustworthy atmosphere at the clinical setting and better adherence to prescribed treatment.
