Abstract

Authors analyzed existing models of evaluation of the quality of life of the population,
taking into account Russian and foreign experience, compiled a chronology of the creation of
indicators of quality of life of the population, identified the factors affecting the quality of life and
divided them into material and intangible. The authors believe the most promising studies on the
evaluation of the information content indicators of quality of life population and the development
of forecasting models on the basis of international indexes. The study of the quality of life students
of St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian
Federation was made and the analysis of material and intangible components of quality of life of undergraduate students, the factors that worsen their quality of life was fulfilled.. Depending on the chosen directions and specialties of training results on quality of life of students differs: students of pediatric and medical specialties assess the quality of their lives higher than students of nursing and speech pathology areas of training. In the course of conducting the statistical studies were also reviewed components of quality of life areas: the quality of life of students in areas are not sufficiently high, their mean values range from 2.8 points (the physical sphere) to 3.9 points (social sphere and the environment).
