Abstract

Examination of temporary disability is one of the most important sections of practical health care. The legislative basis for the examination of temporary incapacity for work is performed in the Federal law of the Russian Federation dated 21.11.2011. № 323-FZ “On the basis of health protection of citizens in the Russian Federation” (hereinafter — the Law № 323-FZ ) and the Federal law of the Russian Federation of 29.12.2006 № 255-FZ “On compulsory social insurance in case of temporary disability and in connection with motherhood”. According to part 1 of Article 59 of the Law No. 323-FZ examination of temporary disability of citizens in need of care of the sick family member is carried out. The issuance, execution and subsequent payment of a leaflet of incapacity for work for care has its own characteristics related to the General principles of issuance of such
leaves of incapacity for work. Examination of temporary disability in determining the need to care for sick family members (children) up to 15 (in some cases up to 18) years in St. Petersburg is carried out by attending pediatricians who individually issue disability sheets for up to fifteen calendar days inclusive. Prolongation of the leaflet of incapacity for work for bigger term (but no more than for fifteen calendar days at a time) for all age groups, is performed according to the decision of the medical Commission.
