EFFICIENCY OF OSTEOPATHIC CORRECTION OF SOMATIC DYSFUNCTIONS OF THE ABDOMINAL CAVITY IN PATIENTS WITH SCIATICA

Abstract

One of the major complaints made by patients about back pain is pain in the lumbar spine radiating to the lower extremities, referred to as sciatica. It can occur in people of different ages and at different periods of their lives. They often experience chronic pain, which at increased loads can worsen, which in turn leads to a decrease in efficiency, the need to receive medical therapy, the registration of a sheet of disability. The problem of treatment of pain in the lumbar spine remains relevant, and its solution today by specialists of various medical professions is viewed in different ways. The existing approaches do not solve the whole complex of problems associated with lumboishialgia and the lack of an optimal approach leads to a decrease in the quality of life of patients of various age and social groups, and also has a significant impact on the material stability of patients. Treatment of pain with the help of osteopathic techniques in Russia and abroad is increasingly in demand. The complex of osteopathic tests and manipulations allows to accurately identify the cause of pain and successfully act on it. As for lumbalgia, it is often manifested by pain in the lower back
with irradiation in the lower extremities which appear due to somatic dysfunction of the abdominal cavity, sedentary lifestyle, alimentary factor, stress factor and increased psycho-emotional stress. Despite the presence of a number of valuable studies on the treatment of lumboishialgia, its diagnosis, various methods of treatment, there is still no scientifically-based approach to osteopathic treatment in the provision of medical care to patients, and this problem has not been comprehensively studied from the perspective of osteopathy.
