Health of Students - Future Pediatricians
Abstract
The article raises questions about the health status of students - future pediatricians and factors that influence this process. The results of the study are presented, which prove the influence of the academic process in a medical university on the health status of students - future pediatricians. To assess students’ health status, the following methods were used: content analysis, questionnaires, expert assessment, and graphical and analytical methods. A special program of comprehensive medical and social research was developed and a comprehensive medical and social assessment of the health status of students - future pediatricians was given. The data obtained indicate a deterioration in the health status of students already while the transition to senior courses: by the fourth year, health is worsened by 23%, and by the sixth year - by 43%. Naturally, all this affects the medical and social characteristics of future pediatricians. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a set of measures of a medical and social nature aimed at improving their health status.
