Sanitary and hygienic assessment of nutrition in preschool organizations of Saint Petersburg
Abstract
One of the main aims of our society is to protect and promote the children’s health. Rational nutrition of children and adolescents is one of the most important requirements that ensure their harmonious growth, timely maturation of morphological structures and functions of various organs and tissues, obtaining optimal parameters of psychomotor and intellectual development, the body’s resistance to infections and other adverse external factors. Therefore organization of proper nutrition and control over its quality takes a particular importance and relevance.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the organization of nutrition in state funded pre school educational institutions of Primorsky district of St. Petersburg for compliance with sanitary and epidemiological rules and regulations. As a result of the research, it was found that flushes from surfaces and samples of finished goods meet the requirements of Sanitary Regulations and Standards, in contrast to the amount of energy, carbohydrate content and calorie distribution in different meals in some children’s groups. The results obtained demonstrate the necessity for social and preventive measures aimed at optimizing the organization of children’s nutrition in preschool institutions.
