FEATURES OF SOCIAL ASSISTANCE TO ADOLESCENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THE CENTER FOR THE PROTECTION OF ADOLESCENT REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

Abstract

One of the important tasks of the healthcare system is to create a modern infrastructure of medical care for children based on an integrated approach in providing their assistance. An integrated approach to preserving, improving health and helping children and adolescents includes not only solving specific medical issues, but also social, psychological, legal aspects, including preventive orientation: identifying and reducing risk factors, increasing motivation to preserve health, forming a healthy personality of a teenager in the natural process of growing up. Based on the practical experience of the Saint-Petersburg State Budgetary Healthcare Institution «City center for adolescent Reproductive health protection “Yuventa”», the technology of social support of adolescents as a form of implementation of medical, social and preventive care in the field of reproductive health of minors is presented. The article describes the features of the general technology of social support for adolescents, pursuing the goals of primary and secondary prevention of the negative impact of social determinants of health, defines the criteria for connecting an activity of a social work specialist with support of the therapeutic and diagnostic process, the stages and forms of social assistance. The program of comprehensive, including social support, of underage pregnant women as a separate target group of patients of the Center for Adolescent Reproductive Health Protection is presented.
