The priority trends for the implementation of the concept of the priority of primary prevention, aimed at increasing the functional resources of the child’s body, are the formation of a healthy lifestyle and introduction of health - saving technologies, primarily in educational organizations. At the same time, it is necessary to upgrade from group preventive measures to personalized medicine, which provides an individual approach to treatment and preventive measures. The low efficiency of prophylactic work with children because of shortness of time of the district pediatrician when visiting patients for preventive purposes; lack of an algorithm for the interaction of pediatricians from various departments of the infant health centre in the sphere of improving children’s health. In addition, the problems are associated with low activity of medical staff in the formation of a healthy lifestyle; improper sharing of responsibilities among medical workers and teachers in protecting the students’ health. These facts determine the nosocentric orientation of doctor of the educational organization, insufficient identification of individual developmental characteristics during preventive examinations, lack of skill of developing personalized programs of medical and social support. The ways of solving of some identified problems are proposed. It is necessary to optimize activities of pediatricians in infant health centres, improve the resource base and update the regulatory and methodological documents governing preventive work with children of different ages.
