FOLLOW-UP SERVICE AS A MODERN DIRECTION IN THE ORGANIZATION OF MEDICAL CARE FOR CHILDREN WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF PERINATAL DISEASES
Abstract
Follow-up observation is a new, more effective form of organizing medical care for children at risk of developing persistent dysfunctions of the body and disability due to a history of perinatal pathology. In the nosological structure of patients referred for hospitalization in the catamnesis department, the vast majority (93.6 %) were children with diseases related to the class «Diseases of the nervous system» (G00–G99) according to ICD-10; 3.2 % — with diseases belonging to the class «Congenital anomalies (malformations), deformities and chromosomal disorders» (Q00–Q99) and the same proportion (3.2 %) — with diagnoses related to other classes of diseases. The work of the follow-up department in the day hospital mode allows you to provide the necessary amount of assistance as soon as possible, and, if necessary, send the child to the selection committee for hospitalization in the City Rehabilitation Center. During one hospitalization at the Center, almost every tenth child (9.5 %) received 5 different course methods of treatment, 31.0 % received 6 different methods, every fifth patient (21.4 %) received 7 methods and most (38.1 %) — 8 or more types of treatment. On average, each patient in the study group underwent 7,11 ± 1,1 different rehabilitation course types of treatment during one hospitalization. Hospitalization in the catamnesis department and the Rehabilitation Center in day hospital beds will provide the necessary amount of medical and diagnostic care for this category of children.
