THE RESULTS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PRINCIPLES OF «LEAN PRODUCTION» IN THE CHILDREN’S CLINIC
Abstract
One of the fundamental principles of protecting the health of citizens of the Russian Federation is the quality of medical care, including primary health care. Sociological methods are used to assess the satisfaction of the population with the quality of medical care in children’s clinics. The criteria are availability of information about the working hours of the clinic, easily made appointments to the doctor in various ways, the waiting time for a doctor’s admission, the availability and working schedule of the district pediatricians and specialists of the children’s clinic, the waiting time of referring the child to a consultation of specialist doctors of the hospital, and the expectation of admission, sufficiency and clarity of the information received from the doctor about the health status of the child. The results of a sociological survey of parents on the quality of medical care for children under 15 years of age provided by outpatient clinics of Volgograd allowed in 2015 to identify problem areas in the organization of medical care. In October 2016, the Volgograd Region started to implement a project to improve the primary health care system “Creating a new model of a medical organization providing primary health care (a lean clinic)”, the purpose of which is to increase public satisfaction with the quality of medical care in outpatient conditions. Defects of medical care revealed in 2015 made it possible to determine the main directions of its improvement in children’s clinics. The measures taken contributed to an increase in the level of satisfaction of the population, which was confirmed by the results of the survey after the introduction of the principles of “Lean Manufacturing”
