He served in the Soviet army of the USSR and Russia, in remote parts of the country, then at the Department of radiology, military medical Academy, Department of BFS in the laboratory of battle surgical trauma, head of the Department of radiation diagnostics of the clinic BFS, chief scientific officer MCRT, head of the Department of radiation diagnostics in Spbcnn(cancer). One of the first specialists in magnetic resonance spectroscopy in Russia.

Actively implemented proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (+NMRS) in clinical practice for the study of pathological processes of the brain.

His research interests are in the field of studying the biochemical processes of the brain with the help of radiation diagnostics, in the field of neurology, oncology, physiology, pathophysiology and experimental medicine.
