Abstract

It is known that the establishment, formation and development of organs and systems occurs in the prenatal period and in early childhood. As a result, much attention is paid to the rational nutrition of children in the first year of life, a sufficient duration of breastfeeding and an optimal ratio of nutrients, which has a significant impact on the health and development of the baby in the future. It is generally accepted that breast milk is the best food for feeding newborns and infants. However, in recent years it has been established that rapid weight gain can occur in children who are not only artificially but also breastfed. This article will discuss the main reasons for this phenomenon.
