Abstract
Vascular injuries in children are rare, but the mortality reaches 19%. Currently, endovascular methods such as stenting, embolization of damaged vessels, temporary balloon aortic occlusion are actively introduced in adults with trauma, however, application of these methods in children are rare. We have described a case of endovascular treatment of a child with damage of the iliac artery due to penetrating wound with a harpoon.
