Abstract

The review reflects both the historical facts of diet therapy for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and current trends. Considering that over a century of diet therapy, both the main causes of gastrointestinal diseases and the need for restrictive diets have changed. At the same time, new nosological forms require new approaches to lifestyle changes and the choice of a food set.
