The article discusses some medical and social aspects of the population living with HIV infection. To assess the medical and social aspects, we used data obtained by anonymous questioning of 233 people living with HIV infection. The average age of respondents was 31.2 ± 1.5 years, living mainly in the territory of the Russian Federation. A study of the distribution of respondents in work / school has revealed that only about 15.0 % are unemployed and do not study. The majority of respondents experienced a state of shock at the time of diagnosis, but 15.9 % did not inform their family about the disease. More than 50.0 % of relatives provided support. More than half of the respondents told a friend about the diagnosis. Most often, the diagnosis was made by the doctor of the polyclinic. Only 34.1 % of respondents receive psychological support.
