Abstract

The development of effective therapies for disseminated melanoma is extremely relevant today due to the proven high immunological potency of this type of tumor. As one of the modern methods of treating this disease active specific immunotherapy using dendritic cells is used. In this paper attention is paid to the history of research and biology of dendritic cells, the principles of creating a dendritic cell vaccine, the possibilities of its clinical use in treatment, the role of the immune system in the elimination of tumor cells.
