IN MEMORY OF ONE OF THE FIRST TEACHERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN ANATOMY OF SAINT PETERSBURG STATE PEDIATRIC MEDICAL UNIVERSITY ZINAIDA ALEKSANDROVNA ROMODANOVSKAYA

Abstract

To define the significance of Z.A. Romodanovskaya in the organization and development of the department of Human Anatomy Saint-Petersburg state pediatric medical University(SPbSPMU) and to remind about her heroic deed and her tragic death from the fascists hands during a period of the Great Patriotic war. Materials and methods. The work with literary sources. Results. Zinaida Aleksandrovna Romodanovskaya took an active part in the organization and development of department of the Human Anatomy of SPbSPMU. She was the faithful assistant of her husband, professor K.V. Romodanovskiy, which was the founder of this department. Earlier she was rending K.V. Romodanovskiy essential help in the organization of the department of normal anatomy of Omsk state medical institute, which named West Siberian state medical Institute until 1925. Z.A. Romodanovskaya was evacuated to Caucasus with LPMI in 1942 and she rendered in occupation there. She hided jews in her house, that is why Germans hanged her. Conclusion. As an active participant of the organization of the Human Anatomy departments in Omsk and in Leningrad and as heroine of the Great Patriotic war, Z.A. Romodanovskaya is merit of the grateful memory of the posterities. It is especially topically to respect her memory before the 75th anniversary of the Victory in Great Patriotic war.
