Abstract

The purpose of this theoretical study is to compare classical and innovative methods of teaching anatomy in terms of using visual materials and methods for visualizing morphological objects. The materials and methods of this study were the descriptive characteristics of various visual methods of teaching anatomy and their theoretical and analytical comparison. The results of comparing classical and innovative visualization techniques in the teaching of anatomy can be represented as follows: the importance of preparations of the organs of the human body is not only their reliable illustrativeness, but it is also a way of psychological influence on the future doctor, the formation of the moral foundations of medical ethics, a call for careful and respect for those who, having passed away, continue to benefit science. Natural preparations are absolutely indispensable when conducting students’educational and research work; they make it possible to conduct a comparative study with the identification of structural options, determination of age features, and morphometry. But you cannot rule out a search justifiably acceptable alternative replacement of demonstration and educational material. For example, 3D printing technology of anatomical preparations. One of the innovative visualization options is a unique invention - the Pirogov interactive table - an educational software product with a unique anatomical content. This training equipment is ideally suited for students and doctors to study most of the natural sciences (topographic anatomy, pathological anatomy, forensic examination, surgery, ophthalmology, dentistry, otolaryngology and others). Over 4000 3D objects, as well as the ability to interact with them through a convenient interface, make classes visual and memorable. The table makes it possible to study a full size 3D model of the human body, lobar and segmental structure of more than 4000 objects of the human body, intraorgan structures, ligamentous apparatus, and muscular system. Conclusion: undoubtedly, the modern development of visualization methods in teaching morphological disciplines is another progressive step that improves the quality of medical education and expands the range of teaching methods, however, it does not exclude the value of classical methods of studying the human body using natural preparations.
