In this article, the following sections are noted: parts of the tooth and the general plan of structural organization; enamel - ultrastructure, matrix, age -related changes; dentin - ultrastructure, age -related changes; pulp - functions, changes in the age aspect; cement; the supporting apparatus of the tooth (periodontal) - periodontal, alveolar processes, gum, dentoalveolar junction. This lecture presents unique drawings and diagrams: ultrastructure of the enameloblast, odontoblast; the structure of enamel, dentin, pulp; electronic micrography of the cut of enamel, dentin, cement; the course of collagen fibers and dentin tubes in dentin; the Schumacher scheme of the periodontal structure.
