Abstract

In recent years, there has been increased interest in the interaction between the gut microbiota and various organs, and there is growing evidence of the importance of the gut kidney axis in renal disease. Advances in gut microbiome sequencing, associated metabolites, gut permeability, and inflammation provide novel therapeutic strategies targeting the gut in kidney disease.
