FLOZ PROCEDURE: A NEW APPROACH IN SURGICAL TREATMENT OF AORTIC ROOT PATHOLOGY, CLINICAL CASE
Abstract
Today, the surgery of the aortic root (AR) is a progressively developing section of cardiac surgery. To date, various techniques are used for the surgical correction of a AR aneurysm, including valve-sparing operations and valve-replacing approaches. There is still no universal method of surgical treatment of this pathology. The article presents a successful clinical case of surgical treatment of aortic valve disease with aortic root dilation, combining two previously known procedures: Ozaki and Florida Sleeve. The new method of surgical treatment of AR pathology described in the article can be a worthy alternative to already known methods.
