Abstract
He article discusses the development of the atherosclerotic process in athletes depending on age. The features of the formation of atherosclerotic lesions of the coronary arteries in individuals engaged in physical culture and sports are described. The characteristic of the significance and frequency of development of risk factors for atherosclerosis is given. The role in the correction of risk factors with statins and angiotensin receptor blockers is described.
