Abstract

Acute mesenteric ischemia (OMI) is a group of diseases characterized by acute disruption of intestinal blood supply, leading to ischemia, necrosis of the affected parts and secondary inflammatory changes. According to the literature, the incidence is estimated at 0.09– 0.2% of all cases of acute surgical hospitalization. We have analyzed the results of treatment of patients with this diagnosis in a multidisciplinary hospital over the past 3 years, and determined the compliance of their treatment strategy with modern approaches. The total mortality of the studied group was 69.86%, which corresponds to the statistical data of the world literature. In the group of hybrid endovascular treatment and open surgery, the mortality rate was 54.55%. In the group of isolated surgical treatment, the mortality rate was 71.4%. In the group of hybrid open vascular and surgical interventions, the mortality rate was 100%. A similar mortality rate was in the conservative treatment group — 100%. In order to illustrate the multidisciplinary approach and the possibilities of endovascular techniques, we selected 2 clinical observations, which are presented in this publication.
