Abstract

This article is a lecture material on the pathology of the omentum in children, focusing on anatomical and functional aspects. The content of the article discusses the key anatomical features of the omentum, its topography, as well as the relationship with other structures of the abdominal cavity. The main congenital anomalies and pathological conditions that pediatricians and surgeons may encounter in practice are highlighted. Based on modern clinical experience and scientific research, the article illustrates diagnostic approaches to the detection of omentum diseases. Due to the structured presentation of the material, the article serves as a valuable resource for medical students, residents and practitioners, providing them with the necessary knowledge to understand the anatomy and pathology of the omentum.
