A CASE OF SUCCESSFUL TREATMENT OF PRIMARY NECROSIS OF THE ROUND LIGAMENT OF THE LIVER IN AN ELDERLY PATIENT
Abstract
Most often, necrosis of the round ligament of the liver occurs as a complication of other diseases of the abdominal organs, such as acute pancreatitis, acute cholecystitis. The clinical picture of this disease does not have a clear characteristic and occurs under the guise of acute cholecystitis, pancreatitis, and peptic ulcer. Due to the blurred clinical picture, diagnosis is extremely difficult. In our clinical observation, we show what difficulties we encountered in diagnosing and treating this disease in an elderly patient.
